Dice

So I have a new passion. And I don't even play Dungeons & Dragons.   It's DICE. I love making DICE.  One could say I'm OBSESSED.  With each set of dice that comes out of the pressure pot (yep, I bought one, I'm that nerdy), I learn more and more.  Tell me Dice Players...What would you like to see?  I'm an open book.  I'm all ears.  And hands.

Christmas Ornament 2019

As a U.S. citizen, I know that the USA has had a long tradition of giving families fleeing war, poverty and persecution a chance to rebuild their lives in safety, but since our last President has taken over, combined with increasing unrest in the world, unprecedented poverty, corrupt governments (including our own), crime and drugs (etc!), that tradition and safety has turned to fear, hatred for others and distrust—to the point now that we lock up these families at our borders. I don’t profess to know all the answers. I don’t profess to know even one answer. But I do know that we are better than this as human beings. We have to be. And I know that one person...

Elton John

I  could write an entire book of memories I’ve had with just Elton John songs. Wow. I wonder if he thinks about stuff like that. My 81 year old mother knows who Elton John is and can sing at least 10 of his songs. My grandchildren can probably sing 20. That’s what kind of superstar he is AND I GOT TO SEE HIM in Saskatoon Canada.

May 2018 Blog Post - "Sci-Fi"

I will never forget how it felt to watch the Star Destroyer come across the screen for the very first time. W-O-A-H. And the music! I had never heard anything so cool. The story was fascinating. AND AWESOME. A whole bunch of bad guys in an entire galaxy wanted something that only a girl possessed. My 10 year old self couldn’t have articulated it then, but I held on to that Princess with everything, because she could be like me. And then...AND THEN….when Luke Skywalker looked up at the twin moons of Tatooine, I gave him my heart, which he still has to this day.
